Overview
Do you possess a keen eye for design, strong skills, and the determination to succeed? The Coe Group is seeking a Graphic Designer to create crisp 2D elements, clean user interfaces, on-brand motion graphics, and more for its Virtual Training, Simulation, and Gaming division.
In this role, you will be responsible for a range of digital products developed in the Unity game engine. You will collaborate with highly skilled and motivated teams of Software Engineers, 3D Artists, and Tech Leads to envision, test, build, and deploy multi-platform, customer-facing software while enjoying the process. This work is both energizing and fulfilling.
Responsibilities
– The Coe Group seeks an ideal candidate who will support various design initiatives for digital products. This individual will regularly collaborate with the Creative Director and fellow designers within Creative Operations to validate their work. Additionally, they will ensure the precise integration of their designs into the Unity game engine, working closely with Software Engineers to achieve this goal.
– Our preferred candidate engages in weekly workshops with the Creative Director and the Creative Operations team to maintain cohesion between their designs and implementations. They are open to constructive criticism and can easily adapt to brand standards while iterating on them.
Furthermore, the ideal candidate must present a portfolio that showcases essential graphic design skills. Submission of an online portfolio and/or website featuring your work is a requirement for your application.
– While strong portfolios often highlight expertise in web design and mobile applications, experience in motion graphics, branding, logomark design, high-profile print projects, innovative marketing designs, collaborative efforts, and video production will also be advantageous. We encourage the inclusion of case studies and visually appealing galleries to make a lasting impression.
Primary Responsibilities
– Collaborate with software engineers and other stakeholders to gather and evaluate user requirements.
– Use wireframes, process flows, and sitemaps to illustrate design concepts as necessary.
– Effectively transform those wireframes, process flows, and sitemaps into prototypes, mockups, and final designs for presentation and demonstration.
– Create simple motion graphics and ensure their robust implementation by software engineers.
– Focus on one or more design disciplines, including user experience (UX) design, user interface (UI) design, visual design, interaction design, user research and analysis, or product development.
– Design user interfaces for desktop and/or tablet platforms.
– Assist software engineers in the integration of UI/UX designs into Unity, providing guidance throughout the process.
– Offer constructive feedback to developers during the implementation phase to ensure a seamless and accurate user experience.
– Regularly collaborate with the Creative Director and the Creative Operations team to uphold a unified design and user experience across the digital product.
– Employ design thinking and inquiry techniques to formulate strategies in situations where the pathways are not clearly defined.
Qualifications
Required experience, skills, and traits:
– Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of one (1) year of experience in graphic design, including but not limited to web, mobile, motion graphics, branding, and logo design.
– Proficient in design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, After Effects, and/or other Adobe Creative Suite applications, as well as familiarity with prototyping tools like Sketch, Figma, or Balsamiq (optional).
– Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
– Keen attention to detail coupled with outstanding organizational capabilities.
– Collaborative mindset to work effectively with fellow designers and developers in bringing new concepts to fruition.
Preferred experience, skills, and traits:
– Comprehension of fundamental design principles and practices, including typography, color theory, and multi-device usability standards.
– Collaboration with system and software engineers for UI implementation.
– Familiarity with prototyping tools such as Sketch, Figma, Balsamiq, etc.
– Background in areas beyond UI/UX that showcases a diverse range of design abilities.
– Recognition and appreciation of established user interface design concepts.

Junior Instructional Systems Designer (ISD)

Overview
The Coe Group is seeking a driven and results-focused Junior Instructional Systems Designer (ISD) who is enthusiastic about training. The role entails utilizing the Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate (ADDIE) Instructional Model, encompassing the analysis and development of job tasks, learning objectives, and instructional tools and techniques necessary for the creation of Interactive Multimedia Instruction (IMI). The preferred candidate will research, understand, and implement a practical approach to developing training that yields measurable performance outcomes.
Responsibilities
– Participate in data collection meetings to document all necessary and pertinent information.
– Investigate and apply effective instructional design principles, established learning theories, and performance enhancement methodologies utilizing the ADDIE Instructional Model.
– Examine technical documentation and collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gather technical instructional materials that align with learning objectives.
– Engage in research and contribute to creative and technical development teams to discover suitable and innovative Integrated Multimedia Instruction (IMI) solutions.
– Create curriculum materials that encompass the formulation of objectives, assessments, student guides, and instructional lesson plans.
– Collaborate with fellow Instructional System Designers (ISDs), the Project Manager, and other team members to fulfill production, quality, and scheduling requirements.
– Ensure that 100% of personal work output adheres to established requirements and quality benchmarks.
– Structure course content in alignment with instructional design strategies.
– Exhibit a readiness to travel as necessary.
